Entrepose Contracting and VINCI Construction Major Projects win a contract to build four LNG storage tanks for Yamal LNG in Russia
Entrepose Contracting and VINCI Construction Grands Projets, subsidiaries of VINCI, have won a contract with JSC Yamal LNG, owned by NOVATEK (80%) and TOTAL (20%), to carry out the engineering, equipment supply, the supply, construction and commissioning of four cryogenic tanks with total integrity (with an internal tank made of 9% Nickel steel and an external tank made of prestressed concrete) for storage of liquefied natural gas (LNG), with a unit capacity of 160,000 cubic metres.
These storage tanks will be part of a natural gas liquefaction complex with an annual capacity of 16.5 million tonnes, for the exploitation of resources from the South Tambey field, located in the Yamal peninsula (Russian Federation).
In order to meet the requirements of the execution schedule, which foresees the delivery of the first two tanks in 2016, the retail engineering, the purchase of the first elements as well as the first phases of work on site including the installation of the life bases, the workshops and foundations anchored in permafrost, started in June 2013 as part of a Letter of Order.
Entrepose Contracting and VINCI Construction Grands Projets have built or are currently building more than 30 liquefied natural gas storage tanks in 11 countries.
