ENVI wins design and construction of the fourth LNG storage tank in GATE Terminal, Rotterdam, Netherlands

ENVI, a joint venture between Entrepose Contracting and VINCI Construction Grands Projets, two subsidiaries of VINCI Construction, was selected to design and build a 180,000 m3 liquefied natural gas storage tank in the Netherlands.

This project is part of the programme to extend the storage and regasification capacity of the GATE (Gas Access To Europe) terminal, located at the port of Rotterdam, by providing an additional 4 billion m³ of gas per year.

The project consists of a new 180,000 m³ LNG storage tank with an internal steel tank and an external prestressed concrete enclosure. The works, worth 160 million euros, should be completed by the second half of 2026.

From 2007 to 2011, Entrepose Contracting had already built three 180,000 m³ LNG storage tanks for the same customer under a design-build contract.

With more than 20 LNG storage tanks built around the world over the past 15 years, including one in the UK (190,000 m³) and one in Canada (225,000 m³), Entrepose Contracting is recognized for its ability to meet the expectations of major players in the sector, in any type of environment.
